House (a.k.a. House, M.D.) is an American television medical drama that debuted on the Fox network on November 16, 2004. The program was conceived by David Shore and Paul Attanasio; Shore is credited as creator. The show's central character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), an unconventional and grumpy medical genius who heads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton‑Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. The show's premise originated with Attanasio, while Shore was primarily responsible for the conception of the title character. The show's executive producers include Shore, Attanasio, Attanasio's business partner Katie Jacobs, and film director Bryan Singer. It is largely filmed in Century City.

Dr. House often clashes with his boss, hospital administrator and Dean of Medicine Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), and his diagnostic team, because many of his hypotheses about patients' illnesses are based on subtle or controversial insights. House's only true friend is Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), head of the Department of Oncology. During the first three seasons, House's diagnostic team consists of Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), and Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps). At the end of the third season, this team disbands. Rejoined by Foreman, House gradually selects three new team members: Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley (Olivia Wilde), Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), and Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn). Kutner was written out of the series toward the end of season five. Chase and Cameron continue to appear in different roles at the hospital until early in season six. Cameron then leaves the show, and Chase returns to the diagnostic team.

House is critically acclaimed and has high viewership ratings. It was among the top-ten rated shows in the United States from its second through its fourth season; in the 2008–09 season, it fell to nineteenth overall. Distributed to 66 countries, House was the most watched television program in the world in 2008. The show has received several awards, including a People's Choice Award, a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards. House's seventh season premiered on September 20, 2010.[1]

Desperate Housewives is an American television series created by Marc Cherry, who also serves as show runner, and produced by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. Executive producers, as of the fourth season, are Marc Cherry, Bob Daily, George W. Perkins, John Pardee and Joey Murphy, David Grossman, Larry Shaw and Sabrina Wind.

The setting of the show is the street of Wisteria Lane in the fictional American town of Fairview in the Eagle State. It follows the lives of a group of women, seen through the eyes of their dead neighbor. They work through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their—at the surface—beautiful and seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood. The show is inspired, to an extent, by the 1999 film American Beauty.[4]

The show features an ensemble cast, headed by Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp and Eva Longoria Parker as Gabrielle Solis. Brenda Strong narrates the show as the deceased Mary Alice Young, appearing sporadically in flashbacks or dreams.

Since its premiere on ABC on October 3, 2004, the show has been well received by the critics as well as the audience. The show is a multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award winner, and in April 2007 it was reported to be the most popular show in its demographic worldwide, with an audience of approximately 120 million.[5]

The Simpsons is an American animated television series created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical parody of a working-class American lifestyle epitomized by its eponymous family,[1] which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional city of Springfield, and lampoons American culture, society, television and many aspects of the human condition.

The family was conceived by Groening shortly before a pitch for a series of animated shorts with the producer James L. Brooks. Groening created a dysfunctional family and named the characters after members of his own family, substituting Bart for his own name. The shorts became a part of The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987. After a three-season run, the sketch was developed into a half-hour prime time show and was an early hit for Fox, becoming the first Fox series to land in the Top 30 ratings in a season (1989–1990).

Since its debut on December 17, 1989 the show has broadcast 465 episodes and the twenty-second season started airing on September 26, 2010. The Simpsons Movie, a feature-length film, was released in theaters worldwide on July 26 and July 27, 2007, and grossed US$527 million worldwide.

The Simpsons has won dozens of awards since it debuted as a series, including 27 Primetime Emmy Awards, 27 Annie Awards and a Peabody Award. Time magazine's December 31, 1999 issue named it the 20th century's best television series, and on January 14, 2000 the Simpson family was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Cleveland Show, an American animated series which premiered on Fox on September 27, 2009. The show, which was picked up for an initial order of 22 production episodes (1APSxx),[1] was picked up by Fox for a second order of production episodes, consisting of 13 episodes, bringing the total number of ordered episodes to 35. The announcement was made on May 3, 2009 before the series even premiered.[2] It was then picked up for the remaining 9 episodes of the second season bringing the total amount of episodes ordered to 44.[3] Only two and a half weeks into the first season's summer hiatus, it was then announced on June 10, 2010 that Fox was ordering a third season.[4]

The series focuses on the life of Cleveland Brown (Mike Henry), his son Cleveland Brown Jr (Kevin Michael Richardson), his wife Donna Brown (Sanaa Lathan) and her kids Roberta Tubbs (Reagan Gomez-Preston) and Rallo Tubbs (Mike Henry).

Family Guy is an American animated television series created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a dysfunctional family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children Meg, Chris, and Stewie; and their anthropomorphic pet dog Brian. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, and lampoons American culture, society, television and many aspects of the human condition.

The family was conceived by MacFarlane after developing two animated films, The Life of Larry and Larry & Steve. MacFarlane redesigned the films' protagonist Larry and his dog Steve, and renamed them Peter and Brian, respectively. MacFarlane pitched a 15 minute pilot to Fox which aired on December 20, 1998. After the pilot aired the show was green-lighted and started production. Shortly after the third season of Family Guy aired in 2001, Fox canceled the series. However, favorable DVD sales and high ratings for syndicated reruns convinced the network to renew the show in 2004.

Family Guy has been nominated for 12 Primetime Emmy Awards and 11 Annie Awards, and has won three of each. It has garnered three Golden Reel Award nominations, winning once. In 2009, it was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, the first time an animated series was nominated for the award since The Flintstones in 1961. Family Guy has also received negative criticism, including unfavorable comparisons for its similarities to The Simpsons.

Many tie-in media have been released, including Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, a straight-to-DVD special released in 2005; Family Guy: Live in Vegas, a soundtrack-DVD combo released in 2005, featuring music from the show as well as original music created by MacFarlane and Walter Murphy; a video game and pinball machine, released in 2006 and 2007, respectively; and, since 2005, six books published by Harper Adult based on the Family Guy universe. In 2008, MacFarlane confirmed that the cast was interested in producing a feature film and that he was working on a story for film adaptation. A spin-off series, The Cleveland Show, premiered on September 27, 2009, as a part of the "Animation Domination" lineup on Fox. The eighth season of Family Guy premiered on the same night.

Boardwalk Empire is an American television series from premium cable network HBO, set in Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the Prohibition era. The Glades is an A&E Network drama television series starring Matt Passmore. The one-hour drama premiered on Sunday, July 11, 2010.[1] On September 13, 2010, A&E announced that the show had been renewed for a second season. The show's premise involves a Chicago detective taking a South Florida job with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement after being falsely accused of sleeping with his captain's wife.[3] He assumes it will afford him a more relaxing lifestyle, but he finds things are more complicated than he had imagined.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (EM:HE), often incorrectly referred to as Extreme Home Makeover, is a reality television series providing home renovations for less-fortunate families, hosted by Ty Pennington.

Each episode features a family that has faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship – such as a natural disaster or a family member with a life-threatening illness. The show's producers coordinate with a local construction contractor, which then coordinates with various companies in the building trades for a makeover of the family's home. That includes interior, exterior and landscaping, which is performed in seven days while the family is on vacation (paid for by the show's producers), which is documented in the episode. If the house is beyond repair, they replace it entirely. The show's producers and crew film set and perform the makeover but do not pay for it. The materials and labor are donated. Many skilled and unskilled volunteers assist in the rapid construction of the house.

EM:HE is considered a spinoff of Extreme Makeover, an earlier series providing personal makeovers (often including plastic surgery) to selected individuals, which the Home Edition has now outlasted. This show displays extreme changes to help recreate someone's space. However, the format differs considerably; in the original Extreme Makeover, for instance, participants were not necessarily chosen based on any recent hardship, whereas the family's backstory is an important component of Home Edition. EM:HE also has similarities to other home renovation series such as Trading Spaces, on which Pennington was previously a key personality.

The series is produced by Endemol USA (the people behind Big Brother, Fear Factor, Deal or No Deal, and other reality shows) in association with Disney-ABC Television Group's Greengrass Television.

The Amazing Race is a reality television game show in which teams of two people who have some form of a preexisting personal relationship, race around the world in competition with other teams. Contestants strive to arrive first at "pit stops" at the end of each leg of the race to win prizes and to avoid coming last, which carries the possibility of elimination or a significant disadvantage in the following leg. Contestants travel to and within multiple countries in a variety of transportation modes, including planes, balloons, helicopters, trucks, bicycles, taxis, rental cars, trains, buses, boats, and by foot. The clues in each leg lead the teams to the next destination or direct them to perform a task, either together or by a single member. These challenges are related in some manner to the country or culture where they are located. Created by Elise Doganieri and Bertram van Munster, the original series has aired in the United States since 2001 and has earned eight Primetime Emmy Awards, including the first seven awards, from 2003 to 2009, for "Outstanding Reality-Competition Program" (Top Chef broke Race's streak in 2010). Emmy-award-winning New Zealand television personality Phil Keoghan has been the host of the show since its inception. The show has branched out to include a number of international versions following a similar format.

Last night (Sunday), saw the season premiere of Desperate Housewives which was broadcast on ABC and it was a blockbuster of an episode with all the twists and turns we've come to expect of one of our favorite dramas. The new cast member, who everybody seems to be talking about, is Vanessa Williams, who previously starred in Ugly Betty.

Williams joins the regulars of Wisteria Lane playing Renee Perry and according to Carissa Williams over on MicroMixx spoke of how she has been welcomed by the other cast members, including Teri Hatcher, soon to appear in Smallville, and Eva Longoria. It's certainly a smart move on Williams' part to join the show which has been running since 2004 and is still a smash-hit winning multiple awards, including Emmy's, Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild awards.

The new season sees Williams' character Renee Perry, an old college roomie of Lynette's who comes to visit her on Wisteria Lane, according to KC Rep on CNN. Renee Perry is the wealthy wife of baseball player Doug Perry, but all is of course not what it seems, par for the course on Wisteria Lane. After some bickering between Renee and Lynette, Renee confesses that her husband is leaving her and so gets to stay with Lynette.

Other developments on the series were Bree and Orson moving on towards other people, and Bree confessing to Gaby it was her son Andrew that ran over Carlos' mother. Susan and Mike have moved into an apartment and Mike tells Susan he's considering going to work on an oil rig. Susan becomes determined to get back into their rented home and takes a new job. Probably the most dramatic twist though came with Carlos learning that he and Gaby's daughter Juanita is not really theirs due to a mix-up at the hospital when she was born.

He is determined to keep the knowledge from Gaby for fear it would break her heart so lo and behold now there's another secret on Wisteria Lane! What did you think of the season premiere last night and Vanessa Williams

Brothers & Sisters is an American television drama series that centers on the Walker family and their lives in Pasadena, California.

The series premiered on ABC on September 24, 2006 and airs in a regular Sunday evening timeslot after Desperate Housewives. The cast includes a plethora of award-winning actors, including Academy and Emmy Award winner Sally Field, Golden Globe winner Rachel Griffiths, Golden Globe winner Calista Flockhart, and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Patricia Wettig. Sally Field won the 2007 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Nora Walker. Rachel Griffiths was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The show has been renewed for a fifth season.[1]

Bishop Eddie Long Live-New Birth Pastor Addresses Sexual Allegations – Bishop Eddie Long has fired back at his accusers, saying that they are lying about his sexual misconduct. Long told his church members that he would be fighting the charges "very vigorously."

As of right now, four different men have stepped forward to say that Bishop Eddie Long had taken them on international trips with him, showering them with gifts while trying to persuade them to take part in a sexual relationship with him. The men also said in their suits that he used his power within the church to make them feel uncomfortable during the process.

In order to emphasize the Mexican theme of "Eastbound & Down" season 2, Danny McBride brought along a donkey to the premiere. Paramount Studios was packed with celebrities on Thursday, September 16 when it hosted the green carpet premiere of the returning HBO series.

While McBride enjoyed the company of the animal, Will Ferrell came to the event with his producing partner Adam McKay. Michael Pena and Ana de la Reguera also made an appearance for they are the new cast members who will play the owner of the Mexican baseball team and Kenny's new love interest respectively.

Another recognizable face apart from the show's cast was Marilyn Manson. The goth rocker is widely known as the show's biggest fan and during the premiere he told MTV who he should portray if he's in for a cameo. "Stevie Janowski, that would be perfect," he said in reference to Steve Little's sidekick role. Also coming as the show's fan was actor Don Johnson.

Despite picking Mexico as the place where Kenny Powers goes next, the production was taking place in Puerto Rico. "We filmed in Puerto Rico. We fooled you, right? You thought it was Mexico," McBride to LA Times. "There's stuff happening in Mexico, so HBO didn't think it would be safe. We really wanted to shoot down there, but the powers that be didn't want us to so we went to Puerto Rico."

The new episode of "Eastbound & Down" airs September 26.
